Man rams truck into Fox News building in Dallas, leaves ‘suspicious package’ at the scene A man crashed a truck into the side of Fox 4 News’ building in Dallas, before ranting about “treason” and leaving behind a suspicious bag. Police arrested the man at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Michael Chadwick Fry, 34, drove his Dodge Ram pickup truck into the glass wall of the network’s office Wednesday morning, the network . After repeatedly plowing into the building, Fry jumped out of the truck and started “ranting” about “high treason” and claiming somebody was trying to kill him.

Before he was arrested, Fry scattered paper flyers on the sidewalk outside the office. The flyers referenced his 2012 arrest for a probation violation, when he was the passenger in a vehicle when deputies shot and killed another man. Fry has a lengthy rap sheet, including arrests for assault, disorderly conduct, public intoxication, drunk driving, and burglary. He will now be charged with criminal mischief.

Fry was collared by police and gave himself up willingly. Bomb technicians were called to investigate the package Fry left behind, and K9 units swept the building before the all clear was given.

The incident comes one week after police in Boston arrested a 68-year-old California man for threatening journalists working for the Boston Globe. Unhappy with the paper’s negative coverage of the Trump administration, the man had threatened to travel to the newspaper’s offices and kill journalists.

Police in Dallas say they have no reason to believe Fry had a vendetta against anyone in the media or at Fox 4.
