Avengers Endgame trailer makes history

After much anticipation, Marvel finally dropped the first trailer for “Avengers: Endgame,” which managed to break the record for most views in 24 hours. Marvel previously held the record for “Avengers: Infinity War.” Cinema Blend reports that “Avengers 4” broke the internet yesterday with the trailer release, title reveals and the release date change. Now the question, what are they going to do next.

Avengers: Endgame” is supposed to be the finale to the story that was started ten years ago with “Iron Man.” Many moviegoers expect that some of our beloved characters will die in Endgame.

Don’t miss on the latest updates

However, the MCU has a number of films planned for the future. It‘s difficult to see another film reach this level of hype. Marvel will forever be judged by this movie.

Marvel has a tight hold on the record

The original record held by “Avengers: Infinity War” whose trailer was seen 230 million times in a single day.

The new record is 289 million times. Prior to this, Disney saw their “The Lion King” trailer reach 224.6 million views worldwide in 24 hours. The “IT” trailer follows closely behind “The Lion King” and “Avengers: Infinity War,” with 197 million views in one day. The next trailer for Endgame is expected to land itself in the top five.

Fans are not sure when the second trailer will drop. However, “Infinity War” trailer originally aired on November 29, 2017, and the second trailer was released on March 16, 2018. We‘re still unsure when Marvel will release the second trailer since they are still promoting “Captain Marvel.

24 hours viewership record is key to many studios

Variety reported that the first trailer for “Captain Marvel” stole the 13th spot on the list of most-viewed trailers in 24 hours, being seen 109 million times.

“as opposed to similar Marvel films like “Captain America” and “Antman.” Other top seen trailers include “Thor: Ragnarok,” “Fifty Shades Darker,” “Incredibles 2” and “The Last Jedi.” While these are numbers for just the first day, it‘s become a bar for trailers, but the views will continue to come as fans attempt to scrutinize every moment for clues. “Avengers: Endgame” is getting released earlier than we thought, April 26, 2019.

While it is only early December, there are so many releases coming in 2019. It‘s going to be a jam-packed year for Marvel and their competitors. Will anything take the record away from “Avengers: Endgame” for views or even box office records? We will have to wait and see what film can step up and be as big as “Avengers: Endgame.” Perhaps “Hellboy” or “Dumbo.”
