5 of the best NBA player performances from November 16

The featured some powerful performances on Friday (Nov. 16) including two impressive double-doubles. There was also Jimmy Butler‘s home debut for Philly, as well as wins by teams trying to get back to the .500 level. Here are five of the best performances from the NBA schedule Friday.


Anthony Davis – New Orleans Pelicans

Davis continues to make his first half of the season case for NBA MVP. Last night it was a monstrous performance of just 43 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists in a home win over New York. As the big man continues to play big, the NBA MVP seems to be within his sights.


Kyrie Irving – Boston Celtics

What a game, and what a performance by Kyrie! This game featured two of the Eastern Conference top contenders doing battle into overtime. Kyrie ended up with 43 points and 11 assists, making for two 43-point double-doubles on the night. Even better, Kyrie‘s Celtics picked up the statement win on their home court.


Jimmy Butler – Philadelphia 76ers

Butler seems to love playing in the City of Brotherly Love already. He‘s now teamed up with stars Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. Friday night was his home debut and he was on fire, scoring 28 points to go with seven assists. Sixers win, 113-107 over the Jazz.


Tyreke Evans – Indiana Pacers

Evans is a former NBA Rookie of the Year who faded from memory for a bit, but his abilities are still clear. On Friday, he stepped up bigtime for the Indiana Pacers with a 23-point performance off the bench to lead his team past Miami.


Giannis Antetokounmpo – Milwaukee Bucks

Greek Freak was overshadowed by some bigger performances, but he still came up with an impressive stat sheet filing performance. Freak had 23 points along with 13 boards, four assists, and three blocks. His Bucks are considered one of the best in the East as they keep on winning.
